Xu Xiaodong, nicknamed “The Jelly Donut”, is a Chinese Kung-fu fighter who was trained in the Kung-fu called Sanshou/Sanda and attempts to deny his training and style by parading as “MMA” to challenge other Kung-fu Teachers and Students, but ONLY takes challenges from fighters with ZERO experience in fighting/sports combat or is a senior citizen. This was all done in an attempt to promote his MMA gym and attract students who think they are learning Muay Thai/BJJ, but instead will be coached by Kung-fu fighter Xu Xiadong, aka The Fighting Jelly Donut.
Here is Xu Xiadong backing down from taking up a challenge from anyone from a Tai Chi school of students who are actually not a senior citizen and look like they might be able to fight back:
Here is the The Fighting Jelly Donut getting destroyed during practice sparring against someone who has actually fought before:
Don’t believe that hype. Marketing is done very selectively to make money and build gyms/following. Xu Xiaodong IS a kung-fu fighter who has marketed himself into fame and tricked many people in believing he is an MMA fighter without exposing the REAL truth behind his kung-fu fighting style.
Interesting article. Thanks
